This page describes exactly what PitTest collects and stores about you, and why. There is no data broker relationship, no ad tracking, and no sale of personal data — the account system and data collection described below exist purely to run the product (login, chat history, and fair usage limits).
To use the chat/backtesting app at /app you need an account. Depending on how you sign up, we store some combination of:
Account and session records are stored in a Postgres database we operate.
If you sign up or log in with an email one-time code, we temporarily store a hashed (not plaintext) version of that code, its expiry time, and how many attempts have been made against it, so we can verify it and block brute-forcing. Codes expire and are single-use.
Every strategy description you send and every backtest result you receive is saved as chat history tied to your account, so you can come back and see past runs, re-download CSVs, and view previously-generated strategy code. This includes any files you upload to extract a strategy description from.
We track how many backtest credits your account has used per day (e.g. how many single-stock, NIFTY50, NIFTY100, and NIFTY500 runs you've made), so we can enforce fair daily usage limits. This is tied to your account, not sold or shared, and is only used to run the product.
We don't use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services on this site.
Account, chat, and usage data are retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual chats yourself from the app. If you want your account and all associated data fully deleted, contact us and we'll remove it.
If what we collect or how we use it changes materially, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
