PitTest is an educational and informational tool for backtesting trading strategy ideas against historical Indian stock market data. You describe a strategy in plain English, we generate code to implement it and run it against real historical data, and we show you the resulting statistics (win rate, P&L, drawdown, and similar).
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, or trading advice. Backtested results are simulations against historical data — they are not a prediction, guarantee, or endorsement of any future outcome. Markets are not obligated to keep behaving the way they did in the past. Any decision to place a trade, and any consequence of doing so, is entirely your own and at your own risk. Consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
Strategy code is generated automatically from your plain-English description using AI, and executed against historical data as best-effort. We do not guarantee that the generated code correctly or completely implements what you intended, that the underlying data is free of errors or gaps, or that results are free of bugs. Use PitTest as a research aid, not a source of ground truth.
You are responsible for what you type into PitTest. Don't submit descriptions intended to abuse, attack, or extract data from the system, or that violate any law. We reserve the right to rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the service (including exceeding fair-use daily credit limits designed to keep the service usable for everyone).
You need an account to use the backtesting app. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials/session secure. See our Privacy Policy for what account data we store.
PitTest is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We are not liable for any losses, financial or otherwise, arising from your use of the site or reliance on any result it produces.
We may update these terms or the service itself (including usage limits and pricing) at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
